• Erlangen Castle – impressive building home to the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg, the second largest state university in Bavaria.  
• Botanical Gardens – containing over 4000 species from around the world some of which maintained within a large greenhouse. Owned by the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and located on the north side of the caste garden in the city centre. Open daily. Closed Mondays.

• 1) Schloss Thurn amusement park: The amusement park in Heroldsbach, between Erlangen and Forchheim, has attractions such as a log flume, Disney carousel, Monza racetrack, fairytale land and much more: It is a successful mix of cultural history, nature, animals and fun.
• 2) UNESCO town of Bamberg: Visit Franconian Bamberg (35km), former centre of imperial and episcopal power, and discover the old quarter with its mix of Gothic and baroque architecture, now designated a UNESCO World Heritage site: The imperial cathedral with the famous statue of the "Bamberg Rider“ is instantly recognisable. Bamberg is also known for speciality beers such as its spicy smoked beer.
• 3) Nuremberg: Thick walls with 80 towers enclose the historical old quarter: A wealth of attractions in the old quarter bring history vividly to life – chief amongst them the medieval Kaiserburg Castle with its museum. Impressive works of art in the Gothic churches of Nuremberg´s old town bear testament to the city´s heyday.

• " 1_Castle Keller and the mountain: It is located overlooking the city it was written that babies were pampered here with beer. There is actually a close connection to the beer: For twelve days it is the largest beer garden in Europe. Daily approximately 100,000 visitors flow to the castle mountain, in order to enjoy the shade of age-old trees and the legendary beer with music and bread. The cellars are independent of it the castle but all locally produced.
• " 2_Brauereitour: The city of the beer. In the 19th Century there were 18 different breweries but they were closed but such was their quality that today many beers of the world use the name Erlanger on their labels. Try the beer of the region in one of the two remaining breweries Kitzmann and Steinbach.
• 3_Fränkische Schweiz: Purely Nature! Experience an area of the contrasts: Rock towers, river valleys, fruit meadows and mysterious caves. there is no limit to what it is possible to do: walking, climbing, Kajaking, fishing. Visit one of the approx. 1,000 caves in the Frankish Schweiz.
