Museums in Cambrils

• Cambrils argricultural museum – is an old wine cellar designed by Bernardo Martorell, companion of Antoni Gaudí. The building was originally used to make wine from 1921 until 1994, when it was converted into a museum.   
• Cambrils Museum of History – opened in 1999 this museum documents the history and development of the town of Cambrils.

Cultural activities in Cambrils

• Fiesta de San Juan – this fiesta is essentially a celebration of the midsummer solstice. Bonfires are erected on the beach, accompanied by music, singing, & dancing. Food and drink is widely available, and the night ends with an impressive firework display.  
• Catalan National Day - this fiesta commemorates the Catalan defeat at the hands of the Spanish army of Castile in 1714. From this day on Catalan rights & laws were abolished, & the fiesta is seen as a re-vindication of this event. 

Historic monuments in Cambrils

• Torre de la Ermita – is a Watchtower located within the grounds of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Way. It was built in the fourteenth century, when its purpose was for surveillance of the coast and the old Camino Real.  
• Villa Romana de la Llosa – is a Roman archaeological site with remains dating from the first century BC. Today you can visit and walk through a virtual reconstruction of the town, getting to know how people lived around the ancient Tarraco.  
• Other: Castle Vilafortuny, Port Toser, The Red Beacon, Church of the Virgin of Vilafortuny. 

Shopping in Cambrils

• There are various shops on the promenade and in the town, as well as two markets, one in the port and one in the old quarter of the village. Here you will find ample opportunity to purchase the usual gifts and traditional souvenirs such as leather goods, jewellery and ceramics.
