• 1_Columbretes Islands
  The “Islas Columbretes” are situated 50 Km southeast of Oropesa / Castellón (70 Km north of Valencia). The group is made of 4 small islands, the largest one is La Isla Grande, the others in the group are La Ferrera, La Forada and the smallest one is El Bergantín. The islands and surrounding waters are volcanic with shallow waters and interesting stones. Since 1990 the area has been a Natural Park, with a total area of 9.3 x 4.6 km or 4,400 hectares.
• 2_Cuevas Vall d’Uxó (Cuevas San José)
  You cannot go to the Vall d’Uxó without visiting the famous San Jose Caves which attract thousands of visitors every year. The caves are located to the west of the city and are reached by a 4 km boat journey.
• 3_Peñíscola village
  Peñíscola is a typical port town well worth visiting. There is an interesting castle where the Papa Luna once took refuge.
• 4_Morella
  Morella is built on a large rock outcrop and is 100 km from Castellón. There are some good walks around its walls and it contains several large, stately homes.

• 1_The Fadri
  58 metres octagonal bell tower built in the 16th and the beginning of the 17th centuries. The bell tower is the city’s major landmark and stands separately from the cathedral, next to the noble Abbey house. Its name in Valencian means “bachelor”.
• 2_The Ribalta Park
  Is the oldest public park in the city and contains an extensive variety of plant species.
• 3_Columbretes Island
  One of the best diving spots in the Mediterranean.
• 4_Natural Sciences Museum
  Located in the Carmen Convent, it contains an excellent collection of animals, plants and minerals. It houses more than 2,000 species of mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, crustaceans and batrachians. In addition there are nearly 1,000 butterfly species, over 1,500 plants, 2,000 mineral samples, more than 500 fossils and hundreds of shellfish and bones.
• 5_El Planetario (The Planetarium)
  Located close to the Pinar beach is the city’s most recent heritage addition. It houses a permanent exhibition and hosts a variety of shows throughout the year.
