• 1_Santiago de Compostela: 60 Km away from La Coruña, the city is easily visited within a day. It houses the 9th century Cathedral of Santiago – a worldwide pilgrimage destination.
• 2_Betanzos and Las Mariñas: Betanzos is a 9th Century village in an extremely beautiful area. In the middle ages it belonged to one family whose legacy is many churches, bridges and castles.
• 3_Rías Baixas (low esturies): One of the most visited areas in Galicia. Its selfish and Albariño wine are much appreciated by visitors. Visits to La Toja island and the villages of Sanxenxo and Combarro are well worthwhile.

• 5_Rías Altas (high esturies): An area of incredible beauty. Visit the village of San Andrés de Teixido, an important destination for pilgrims; Vixia Herbeira, one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe (over 600 metres high) and Estaca de Bares, the northern most point of the Iberian peninsula.
