City of Encounters
After the 2008 Zaragoza Expo, the whole world became aware that Zaragoza is far from being simply a route to the rest of Spain. Instead, it is a city with a huge amount to offer. There is no better way to discover that than to retrace the steps of the city’s history, beginning with the ruins of the Roman Theatre, before heading on to other clues as to its ancient past, including the Forum, the public thermal baths and the city walls.
The heady, Moorish style of the Aljafería Palace will take your breath away. Its gardens draw on all of the legendary factions that once inhabited this "Palace of Joy", in a blend you’ll find hard to resist. From there, you can continue your tour through the fascinating Mudejar churches, culminating in the baroque splendour of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar.
Zaragoza is also an important centre of artistic culture. The Camón Asnar Museum, located in the elegant Palacio de los Pardos, houses a unique collection of Goya prints, while Zaragoza's Provincial Museum of Art exhibits the works of El Greco and his contemporaries. Zaragoza in Celebration
Beyond Zaragoza city centre, the Ensanche and the boulevards offer numerous opportunities for leisure activities. The Gran Vía, an enchanting promenade ideal for shopping, fine dining and entertainment, stands at the heart of these. Zaragoza's calendar of events continues to grow from year to year, the majority of them taking place in the Auditorium, the Palace of Congresses, Expo Aragon or the Zaragoza Teatro Principal.
NH offers you a selection of hotels in Zaragoza, located in the most vibrant parts of the city: in the historic quarter, in the vicinity of the fairgrounds, and in the principal centres of business and leisure in this, the capital city of Aragon.
