Day trips

• 1_Mount Pilatus
  By boat to Alpnachstad, and then by cockwheel railway to the top of Mt. Pilatus, back by cable car to Kriens and by bus to Lucerne.
• 2_Mount Titlis
  By train to Engelberg, from Engelberg by cable car to the top of Mt. Titlis. There is “everlasting” snow and glaciers. Beautiful view.
• 3_Mount Rigi
  By boat to Weggis or Vitznau. From Weggis there is a cable car which brings you to Rigi Kaltbad and there you have the cockwheel railway to the top. From Vitznau you can take the cockwheel railway to the top.
• 4_Boat Cruise
  There are several boat cruises around the lake which take about 6 hrs. Paddle steamboats are available for evening cruises to see the sunset.
• 5_Several villages near Lucerne
  Weggis: This little village is protected by the mountains and is situated on the sunny side. It has an almost Mediterranean climate and is a main touristic point in the area. Palm trees, figs, kiwis, apricots, banana trees and a wonderful lake promenade make this village very picturesque. Reachable by boat and train. There are many other typical villages like Weggis.
