• 1_Monasteries Route
  An UNESCO Heritage of Mankind site. The Suso and Yuso monasteries are located in a small valley in the mountains: the Valley of the River Cárdenas. Yuso is of Renaissance and Baroque construction is notably different to Suso, a little monastery that appears framed by the dense vegetation of the mountain.

  Valdezcaray ski station is located at the majestic San Lorenzo Peak ( 2,260 m), the highest point in La Rioja. Windsurfing and canoeing are possible nearby; and a magnificent, modern golf course is located in the village of Cirueña.

  The most ancient Spanish text was discovered in San Millán de la Cogolla, whose monasteries of Yuso and Suso are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

  Follow the Ebro river to Haro, the wine town and then move on to Nájera, the town of kings from there visit Santo Domingo de La Calzada, one of the most important towns along the Santiago Way.
• 4_Camino de Santiago (Santiago Way)
  To enter the first town in the lands of La Rioja, the pilgrim will have to cross the Stone Bridge. Having crossed the river Ebro, the pilgrim takes the first street on the right, called Rua Vieja (Old Street). The large Baroque house at number 32 is the pilgrims refuge. This is next to the Church of Sta. María de Palacio. It is a church in the late Romanesque architectural style.
