Excellent hotel located at about 20min walking from the train station and 20min walking from Nardeen fortress. Variety of choice for the breakfast, from warm food to fruits, coffe, tea, vegetable, cheese, cold cut etc. The views from almost any room is on green park to typical ducth house. Renting bicycle available. Warm lounge bar where you can spent the evening chatting with people or working.
I had a very pleasant seven night stay at this Bussum hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The dinner meals were excellent and well presented. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful.
Stayed at this hotel to visit friends in Bussum. Lovely place. Nice room, friendly staff. Maybe not the most modern, but very clean and tidy. About 35 minutes by train to central.

I will definitely be back, very clean, good food, peaceful, very professional staff. Everything was perfect. I had the time of the life in Bussum. The hotel is no doubt a 5 Star. Even if I didn't speak thier language , I was very comfortable as everyone speaks very good English
I went to Bussum for a business trip and was looking for good alternatives close by. The Jan Tabak offered a great room, good breakfast and excellent service. Although I arrived rather late (23:45), service was still nice and welcoming.
Since we travel with our dogs we appreciated affordable and reasonable pet fees and absolutely loved the extra attention: pet warning door hangers, treats, toys, walking maps, and ample green areas around the hotel. We looked forward to tasty breakfasts every day and enjoyed the convenience and the size of the FREE parking lot. Hotel staff made us feel warmly welcomed. I'm putting 4 stars instead of 5 only because we found the interiors tired and old and negatively affect the cleanliness—the hotel needs some renovation. On the upside, the older interiors exude vintage aesthetic and likely keep the prices lower than what they could be.
