The Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse) will be held on the fair grounds (Messe) Frankfurt from 16 to 20 October 2019. With more than 7,000 exhibitors from around 100 countries, the largest book fair in the world has more than 500 years of tradition. On approximately 170,000 m², publishers, booksellers, authors and other trade visitors meet. The Frankfurt book fair is also accessible to private visitors at the weekend (19th and 20th October 2019), which, in addition to thousands of books, can also read countless manuscripts, maps or graphics - as well as digital ones, such as audio books or e-books. During the book fair traditionally various awards are held, including the German Book Prize, the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade, and the German Youth Literary Prize. Tickets to the Frankfurt Book Fair

Ticket are available for private visitors as of 22 € and for trade visitors as of 53 € in advance. The first three days of the fair are reserved for trade visitors, private visitors are welcomed on the weekend (19th and 20th October 2019). To avoid unnecessary waiting times, it is advisable to buy the tickets in advance.

Hotels for the Frankfurt Book Fair

Of all our Hotels in Frankfurt there are various hotels in the immediate vicinity of the Frankfurt Book Fair. The fair is best reached by public transport: S-Bahn station "Frankfurt Messe", S-Bahn lines S3, S4, S5 or S6. For all visitors departing on Sunday, we offer a free late check-out until 5 pm with our Lazy Sunday (on request and availability).
