Palmaria Island: landmarks and beaches

Palmaria is an island facing Portovenere city and separated from the continent just 30 minutes away by ferry. Palmaria, together with Tino and Tinetto, forms part of the Ligurian archipelago in the province of La Spezia. Palmaria is the largest of the three and is very well known for its impressive trekking trails, breathtaking foliage and beaches. Tinetto, however, is the smallest one and famous for its archeological remains, including the ruins of a monastery. Finally, Tino is the least accessible island as nowadays it is used as a military base.
