The Top Beaches in Ibiza:
Check out some of Ibiza’s most beautiful beaches.
Las Salinas and Es Cavallet: two of the most iconic beaches
Two of the main beaches of the island are Las Salinas and Es Cavallet, both of which are found in the Ses Salines Natural Park, with its picturesque salt flats.
The crescent shaped Las Salinas is surrounded by aromatic pine forests, boasts powdery white sands and alluring, pristine waters and is known for its beach clubs and lively yet cool vibe. Las Salinas is known for its buzzing beach clubs and restaurants, which include Sa Trinxa, Malibu, and Beso Beach, for fantastic Mediterranean cuisine, cocktails and traditional Ibizan fun.
If you want a break from partying, you can also enjoy water sports such as paddleboarding, sailing, and bodysurfing at Las Salinas, depending on the waves. It’s easy to get to Las Salinas by car and parking is available, though it’s best to get there early to guarantee a spot. If you don’t have a car, there are also buses from Ibiza Town.
For a more relaxing vibe, head to Es Cavallet, a 1.1km long beach famous for its stunning sand dunes and crystal-clear waters. This is also an official nudist beach, and its relaxed, inclusive atmosphere has made it a favourite within the LGBTQ+ community.
There are plenty of venues for eating out or enjoying a cocktail, including favourites such as El Chiringuito, for relaxed, family friendly dining, or the lively beach bar, Chiringay. The beach is windy enough to make it the perfect location for windsurfing and kite surfing, or if you prefer to stay on dry land, try a bit of beach volleyball or head for a walk in the dunes.
Just a 10-minute car ride from Ibiza Town or Playa d'en Bossa, you can access the beach by car, bike, or bus. The PM-802 road leads right to the beach
Cala Comte
One of Ibiza’s most beautiful beaches must be Cala Comte, with its legendary, stunning sunsets, golden sands and breath-taking views of the islets nearby. The cove is celebrated for its turquoise waters, soft golden sands, and panoramic views. Cala Comte has some great dining options, including the legendary beach bar and restaurant Sunset Ashram with its culinary fusion of Mediterranean, Indian, and sushi against a stunning backdrop and incredible, live DJ sets.
The crystal-clear waters and rocky seabed make Cala Comte perfect for snorkelling or a spot of swimming and paddleboarding. Around half an hour in the car from Ibiza Town, there are regular buses from here and San Antonio in the summer, as well as ferries from San Antonio harbour.
Benirrás Beach
If you’re looking for a bohemian vibe, try heading to Benirrás Beach, on Ibiza's north-west coast near San Miguel, one of the best beaches in Ibiza. This jaw-droppingly beautiful cove is surrounded by pine-covered cliffs, and has pebbly sand, turquoise waters, and sunsets to die for. The pièce de résistance is the Cap Bernat rock formation, known as the "Finger of God", which rises out of the bay.
Locals and visitors flock to the cove on Sunday evenings for drumming sessions to bid adiós to the sun - a very Ibiza tradition. The gorgeous water here is perfect for snorkelling, enjoying the underwater views and splashing around.
Head to Elements Ibiza for organic cuisine, incredible seafood, cocktails, DJ sets and even a massage. Roca y Mar is perfect for more traditional local cuisine in a relaxed, family atmosphere.
The beach is accessible by car with signposts from San Miguel and has two free car parks for up to 400 vehicles. Between June and September, you can catch the shuttle bus there from Sa Plana, San Juan.
Cala Bassa
One of Ibiza’s most popular beaches, Cala Bassa, on the island's west coast, is also one of Ibiza’s best beaches. Surrounded by pine forests, the cove has beautiful golden sands and calm, crystalline waters, perfect for swimming or snorkelling for the whole family. The beach is also a favourite for visitors who enjoy jet skiing and paddleboarding.
Head to the Cala Bassa Beach Club (CBbC) for live music, a range of bars and restaurants serving delicious Mediterranean favourites, sushi, and of course cocktails. Browse the boutiques or enjoy a massage while you’re there.
Head to Elements Ibiza for organic cuisine, incredible seafood, cocktails, DJ sets and even a massage. Roca y Mar is perfect for more traditional local cuisine in a relaxed, family atmosphere.
Cala Bassa is easy to get to by car, with paid parking available, or you can hop on a boat from San Antonio.
Aguas Blancas
Nestled on the northeast coast, Aguas Blancas is one of the secret beaches in Ibiza, a secluded 300m gem close to San Carlos, boasting golden sands, imposing cliffs, and crystalline waters. Aguas Blancas is considered one of the best beaches in Ibiza and is known for its chilled-out vibe and for being one of the island’s official nudist beaches. Create your own spa experience while you’re there by covering yourself in the natural clay from the cliffs.
As the cove is more secluded, there are fewer dining options, but a great choice is the Aguas Blancas Chiringuito with its sea-view terrace and beach bar for drinks, tasty Mediterranean snacks and a great Ibiza vibe.
The beautiful waters here are perfect for swimming and snorkelling for the whole family. The easiest way to get here is by car, as public transportation options are limited.
